Session Fees

As a Clinical Psychologist, Kristina’s fees reflect her training, expertise, and 20 years of clinical experience.

As of 1 July 2025 fees are $300 for a 50-minute consultation

Fees are lower than the Australian Psychological Society (APS) National Schedule of Recommended Fees. For the 2026–2027 APS Schedule, the recommended fee for a 46–60-minute consultation is $330.

Medicare Rebates

Under the Better Access Initiative, clients with a valid GP Mental Health Treatment Plan can claim a Medicare rebate for psychological therapy. The current Medicare rebates for a 50-minute consultation with a Clinical Psychologist (Item 80010) is $149.05 per session. This rebate applies to both in-person and telehealth sessions.

How Medicare Rebates Work

• You pay the full session fee on the day.

• Medicare deposits the rebate (usually within 24–48 hours) into your nominated bank account.

• Your out‑of‑pocket cost is the difference between the session fee and the rebate.

Annual Entitlement

You can claim up to 10 individual psychology sessions per calendar year under Medicare’s Better Access program.

Extended Medicare Safety Net (EMSN)

If your family reaches the EMSN threshold, Medicare will cover 80% of any further out‑of‑pocket costs for the rest of the calendar year.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on your level of cover, you may be able to claim a portion of your session fee through your private health insurer. Please contact your health fund directly to confirm your eligibility and rebate amount.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that life can be unpredictable and sometimes plans need to change. Cancellation fees help ensure appointment availability and allow us to offer timely support to all clients. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice.
